In September 2017, Mexico suffered two devastating earthquakes. The first was centered off the coast of Chiapas and brought destruction across the state of Oaxaca, where the Hridaya Yoga Center is located. The second wreaked havoc in Mexico City and surrounding areas. While the damage was severe, the spirit and resilience of the Mexican people has proven remarkable, and the rebuilding process is well underway.
The Heart of Earthquake Relief
Hridaya Yoga has been based in Mexico since 2012, and we call it home. When these earthquakes struck, our hearts were full of compassion and the aspiration to help. Our community has been actively supporting relief efforts in both Oaxaca and Morelos. You can read more about these activities here.
