It’s hard to build a practice alone.

As a spiritual practitioner living in the material world, it can be challenging to establish a sustainable “on-the-mat” practice that supports your aspiration for liberation and fosters the conditions you desire in your daily life. Tantra Immersion School’s Deepening Your Practice Module, based on the Hridaya Hatha Yoga teachings and practices, is a practical 3-month module with live online meetings twice a week.

You’ll focus on slowing down some of the vital elements of daily practice, which can inspire you to commit to this calling of returning to your mat as often as possible.

The benefits of regular practice, both in community and on your own, include:

– cultivating the conditions you want in your life
– access to more choice in every moment
– patience
– acceptance of what is
– self-trust
– openness and self-compassion
– a feeling of inner and outer alignment
– the ability to discern what is beneficial and what is harmful in your life
– joyful humbleness
– present moment awareness
– mental calm and clarity
– access to your physical body and embodied living
– an ability to integrate what you experience in daily life
– liberation—getting free from individual and collective suffering

But developing and reinforcing the habit of regular practice takes external commitment, aligned inner attitudes, and a supportive community of practitioners.

Our module meets online over three months, including one weekly class for connection, teaching, and practice, as well as another class solely focused on practicing together.

Our class meets on Thursdays, either from 9:30 am-12:10 pm PST (morning cohort) or 6:00 pm-8:30 pm PST (evening cohort). PLUS, we’ll gather altogether on Tuesdays from 8-9 pm PST for a practice session.

We meet during the quiet, dark months of November, December, and January, a beautiful and often challenging time to maintain individual practice. Many of us naturally turn inward during this time, and the impact of regular weekly practice and community can greatly inspire our personal motivation for practice.

Our teachings in Deepening Your Practice are focused on the spirit and heart of our practice, topics like tapas or “devoted practice, abhyasa or “commitment to liberation,” and vairagya or “non-attachment to outcome,” as well as deepening our understanding of our essential practices: meditation, Hridaya Hatha Yoga, and pranayama.

This digital world can leave us feeling isolated and unsupported in our life quests. Tantra Immersion School is dedicated to restoring a sense of community, accountability, reliability, and connection. We can’t wait to practice with you!
