Those who wish to rediscover themselves, interrupt the hectic flow of life, and penetrate themselves into an oasis of peace and spirituality can participate in this silent meditation retreat for the revelation of the Spiritual Heart. One of the great yogis, Ramakrishna, recommends retiring to meditate three months a year, three weeks, or, if not, at least three days. No previous experience in yoga or meditation is necessary.

This retreat includes guided meditations, guidance and recommendations for spiritual practice, Hatha Yoga sessions. The necessary recommendations, meditative methods, practical elements, and conferences with different themes will be offered, including:

  • Ramana Maharshi’s method of Self-Inquiry, working with the question “Who am I?”
  • The mystical tremor of the Heart (spanda), the witness consciousness, the resorption of the “I” feeling in its source, about the content and quality of the mind, pure love as an expression of unity consciousness, silence as the substrate of existence.
  • Deepening in meditation, using two methods from the Mahamudra tradition: “catching the agitated mind” and “stabilizing the mind in a state of tranquility.”
  • The four fundamental stages in the process of the revelation of the Spiritual Heart.
  • Mind calming techniques using breath control.
  • The fundamental principles of spiritual transformation in Advaita Vedanta.
  • Methods to translate from individual consciousness to the Divine Unity Consciousness.
  • The wonder of the beauty of the Spiritual Heart.

The program will begin on Friday, November 8, 2024, at 19:00, with an introduction, questions and answers, followed by meditation. From Saturday morning until Sunday afternoon, all participants will observe mauna (sacred silence), as recommended in all contemplative traditions, to create the conditions for deep internalization. It will be possible to ask questions (in writing) to the teachers who guide the meditation. The retreat will end with the sharing of experiences and discussions based on the presented themes after our final meditation on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at 6 pm.

For those who can’t attend physically, the retreat will be streamed online (on the Zoom platform, with a meeting ID and password).

Note: This retreat is held in Romanian (with English upon request).

Accommodation:

Rooms for 1, 2, or 3 people, and the food will be lacto-vegetarian. No meat, alcohol, tobacco, or coffee will be consumed. Those who participate online are asked to respect the conditions specific to a meditation retreat at home as well (as much as possible to keep mauna, limit social and online interactions, etc.), keep the video camera on for the duration of the program, and attend all sessions so that you can fully enjoy what this spiritual program has to offer.
