Join us for an intensive yet deeply restful Hridaya Silent Meditation Retreat. Rose Cousens will lead this three-day retreat, which includes guided meditation, gentle yoga, spiritual teachings, and Self-Inquiry. It will be held in the seclusion and natural beauty of the Blue Mountains, Australia.

A silent meditation retreat is a meditative deep dive, offering an opportunity to:

  • Explore yourself, earnestly.
  • Experience deep presence and the aliveness of each moment.
  • Quiet the mind and reduce incessant worry, obsessive thoughts, and anxiety.
  • Reconnect with your heart and the natural joy within.
  • Learn to meditate—properly.
  • Rest deeply and remember what true relaxation feels like.

Each day is carefully structured, with a combination of:

  • Guided and semi-guided meditations to support Self-Inquiry.
  • Gentle yoga practices, including hatha, yin/restorative, and yoga nidra, “the yoga of sleep.”
  • Breathwork to regulate the nervous system and support the flow of  “energy,” or prana.
  • Delicious vegan meals that nourish body and mind.
  • Plenty of time for rest and reflection.

We follow a non-dogmatic approach, drawing from Hridaya Yoga, Zen Buddhism, Sufism, and Non-Duality (Advaita Vedanta) while also integrating insights from quantum physics and psychology. Our primary method is Self-Inquiry, fostering a deep connection with your inner self and life itself.

By maintaining mauna or “noble silence,” we create a powerful container for transformation, supporting one another in this profound process. Ultimately, this retreat is designed to help you integrate meditation into your daily life, inspiring you to live with more presence, ease, and joy.

This retreat may be for you if:
• You feel overwhelmed, anxious, or mentally exhausted and need deep rest.
• You’ve tried meditation but haven’t quite “got it” yet.
• You’re craving a total reset—physically, mentally, and emotionally.
• You’re on a healing journey and looking for something authentic and meaningful.
• You seek practical tools to quieten the mind and calm relentless mental chatter.
• Your heart feels closed and in need of gentle care and attention.
• You’re a naturally curious person, open to exploring a new way of being.

I am honored to guide you on this precious journey into Stillness.
